Dr MV Shetty Colleges Mangalore is situated in Mangalore in Karnataka state of India, and it is affiliated to Mangalore University. b’Dr. M.V. Shetty Group Of Colleges’, Mangalore offers 14 courses across 5 streams namely Arts, Nursing, Medical, Paramedical, Science and across 4 degrees like BSc, GNM, MSc, MSW.
Facilities
Hostels
Separate hostels are provided for both . Girls should stay compulsory in hostel till the completion of course but on the other hand boys are required to stay during first year only. Altogether Trust maintains 5 hostels . Hostel provides breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner. The Trust takes care to serve the students with hygienic food and also take care to keep the kitchen and dining halls clean and tidy. More over , Trust also works on making the students to feel” a home away from home” .
Transportation Facility
Dr. M.V.Shetty Memorial Trust maintains a fleet of vehicles including several buses for transportion of students from both study centers and hostels. The transport facility is also provided to students for Clinicals, University related works, fests for sports and cultural competitions held in different colleges.
Sports and Games Facility
Making a Difference The college managed by Dr.M.V.Shetty Memorial trust has a physical education department managed by the director of physical education. The student of the college regularly participate in inter – collegiate tournaments in various sports and games events both within the university area and outside the university. The physical Education Department of the College regularly organizes Inter Collegiate competitions in various sports events and Inter College Tournaments in games events generally in the month of January every year.
Library
The library is spacious and opens to both students and staffs of the college, who have library membership cards. The college has four libraries equipped with 14000 volumes of books related to the subjects, 40 National and International journals and E-Journal, 1100 back volumes of the journals .
1400 thesis are also available in the Library.
Canteen
Spacious Canteen facility for both staffs and students . Canteen have – modern kitchen equipped with facilities for hygienic food preparation. Both Vegetarian and non vegetarian foods, soft drinks, ice creams and snacks are provided in the canteen at nominal cost. Both North and South Indian dishes are also available in the Canteen.
Computer Centre
In the year 1994 Computer Center starts at the College Campus as a result , students attain basic knowledge and training on computers and its easily applicable by them .
ATM Facility
The ATM of the Corporation Bank within the premises of the building at Vidayanagar, Kavoor, Mangalore. Both students and staffs can utilize the facilities .
Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Nursing
Dr. MV Shetty College of Nursing was the first private sector nursing institution in Karnataka in the year 1987 . It offers programs in nursing and creates highly qualified nursing professionals .
High professional qualifications and intensive clinical training enables maturity and develop leadership skills along with professional updates and social responsibility , and consequently perform in the areas of Nursing education, services , administration and Nursing research.
Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Physiotherapy
Established in the year 1990 and it is the first college to offer Bachelor of Physiotherapy course in Karnataka . Before , it was affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. and then to University of Mangalore. And also recognized by Indian Association of Physiotherapists & IAGP .
Physiotherapy is an integral part of modern medicine. And also plays a role in diagnosis, and prognosis of many disorders ,arthritis, joint diseases and cardio-respiratory disorders.

Dr. M.V.Shetty College of Speech and Hearing established in the year 1991 . First private sector speech and hearing college in India with full fledged facilities.

The college have a campus placement, many graduates are placed through this campus placement. Msc graduates gets an oppurtunity to work in the same collge after graduation. Various other placements are done in and outside india. The exam is conducted by the mangalore university
Sofia John
College gives oppurtunity to participate in varoius inter college fest. Various festivals are celebrated in the college like onam, christmas, holi etc. Farewell and graduation is conducted by the institution. College also participates in various inter college fest like aawas and adrenaline

Cultural and sport activities are conducted by the college every year. There are more girls than boys. Competiton is donw among other departments of the samw college. Clinical postings are provided for every students every day. Various awareness programs are conducted.
Neelima shenoy
Hostel rooms are avarage. Three sharing room with attached bathrooma are provided. Pg rental are from 4000-5000 per month. It is compulsary for girls to stay in hostel for the complete durartion of the course.

Very helpful seniors. They help in academics. They train the juniors with clinical teaching and conduct clinical conference
