BTech in Mechanical Engineering
About The Course
B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering course. Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines. It is four years duration course. The value of the course is immense and it is job orienting in nature. Most of the colleges/universities are offering the course in the country.
More Details About BTech in Mechanical Engineering
- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering is a four year course, the minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) with subjects such as physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
- Admission to all undergraduate programs (B.E.) is made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
Candidates who have an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis are the most suitable for it. They should be good at mathematics which is an important tool, an inquisitive and logical mind to make connections between ideas and handle abstract concepts, creative and innovative ideas to find solutions to problems which may need a new perspective, good practical skills to apply math's and science to real problems. Others are the organizing ability, practicality, ability to get on well with people of all types, ability to keep calm under pressure and flexibly to work in a multi disciplinary area are an asset in the field also are good match for the course.
As a mechanical engineer you could become involved in design, manufacture, research, development, management or marketing. Mechanical engineering played a vital part in the design, manufacture and installation of the Eye, something that was originally believed to be impossible. Now it is both an extremely popular tourist attraction and an inspiration to future engineers. They can work at transport, health, defence, manufacture, and any related field. Limited number of Mechanical Engineers worldwide provides Mechanical Engineers good earning opportunity. Graduates can go for their Masters’ degree program in order to become lecturer in their respective interested subjects.
