Mangalore Marine College and Technology

Mangalore Marine College and Technology   is the First and the only Institution, available in entire Karnataka State, approved by The Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India., & AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to VTU, Belagavi for B.E. Marine Engineering Course.

All the General Engineering Courses are  approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to VTU, Belgaum and  also ISO 9001:2008 certified institution .The MMCT  locates  in the pollution free environment of Kilenjar village of Mangalore –  ideal destination for learning. This made it possible for MMCT campus to be purpose built with infrastructural facilities that could be leveraged for the learning experience.

Facilities

Class rooms

Spacious  well furnished  class rooms  and  learning rooms  with modern teaching aids such as LCD projectors.

Laboratories

State-of-the-art laboratories for Modern Physics, Chemistry, Thermal, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Material, Electrical and Electronics, and Refrigeration – within the college premises.  Basic engineering workshops such as Bench Fitting Shop, Lathe Workshop, Special Machine Shop and Welding Workshop also available . Apart from this,  college also has marine workshops with modern marine equipment and AUX machinery for practical and professional training. Computer laboratory with  latest software’s are also available  to keep the cadets updated .

Library

The library spans an area of 5000 sq.ft stocked with a wide collection of marine and engineering books, journals and e-magazines. Video cassettes and CDs offer students insights into the latest happenings in Marine Engineering and Ship operations.

Hostel

MMCT is a completely residential campus, offering the best stay to the inmates. The college has elegantly built Girls’ and Boys’ hostels, with ample spacious rooms with attached bathrooms on a twin sharing basis. The hostels are located within the college campus. Add comfort to the convenience to the residents and that has been the prime consideration of the construction. The hostel built to suit the student’s needs with double occupancy with attached bath, round the clock hot water, internet connections, laundry, veg & no veg mess, Information centre (TV / Newspaper).

Aim

In the years since its inception, the Mangalore Marine College & Technology has grown into a centre of prominence . As a result college reaches  at a distinct level , as well as  students graduating from the institution.

On the other hand  , college aims  for 100% success of trainees in qualifying Examination.
