Srinivas institute of technology Mangalore  a unit of Srinivas Group of Colleges, Mangalore, and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college started its successful run in 2006. Above all the main aim of producing world-class technology graduates tuned to the demands of a fast-changing global village. The Institute is located at Srinivas Campus in Valachil. Nevertheless, the college has taken steps to develop the 25-acre campus as a Green Campus with an Eco-friendly environment.

The college started with 4 engineering streams in 2006. Later it added 6 more undergraduate courses and 8 post-graduate courses (MCA, MBA, and M Tech in 6 Specializations). 5 departments have been recognized as research centers by VTU to pursue Ph.D. and MSc (Engineering).

In academic and co-curricular activities the Institute achieved excellence. Besides the Institute has all the infrastructural facilities to achieve its objectives. The Institute has well qualified, committed, and motivated faculty. Firstly the mission of the Institute is to provide knowledge-based technological education to the students. Secondly, train them as competent professional manpower with ethical values to fulfill the needs of the society and finally again in the industry by implementing State-of-the-Art education including technological innovation.
