Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering Mangalore (MITE) is a college of engineering and technology located in Mangalore, India.  Established by Mr. Rajesh Chowta under the Rajalaxmi Education Trust, Mangalore in 2007 with an objective of promoting research oriented advanced courses in the field of technology and engineering.

MITE is on the Mangalore – Solapur Highway, about 30 km from Mangalore and about 4 km short of the town of Moodabidri. The institute is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and also approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Aeronautical Engineering, Computer science Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments are NBA accredited.

Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE) established in the year 2007 today stands tall with 3000+ students, 180+ Faculty, offering 8 Undergraduate Programs in Engineering, 2 Post Graduate Programs in Engineering, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and 7 Research Programs. Recognized by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi and also affiliated  Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.

Library

 

Libraries play a crucial role in a Knowledge Institution. As gateways to knowledge and culture, the resources and services offers create immense opportunities for learning  .

MITE has a fully computerized centrally air-conditioned library spread across Two levels, with a rich collection of books and periodicals. The Library has a collection of 5,206 Titles, 26,910 Volumes, most of the Standard National and International Journals .  The reference section is a large repository of books, periodicals and journals that also  provides the reader with the most advanced information. As per AICTE and VTU norms, Library has subscribed for both e-Journals and e-books.

 

Hostel

 

environment  specifically designed to meet requirements of students. The college has elegantly built both Girls’ and Boys’ hostels. The hostels are located within the college campus. It also offers  hot water, internet connection, washing machine on every floor, veg & non-veg food. add comfort to the convenience to the residents and that has been the prime consideration of the construction. The hostel is built to suit the students needs with double occupancy with attached bath, round the clock hot water, internet connections, laundry, veg & non veg mess, Information centre (TV / Newspaper)for instance .

 

Sports

 

At MITE, we understand how important physical activities are for the wholesome development of an individual. Bearing testimony to this, we have a playground sprawling across 6 acres. An excellent ambience, serene and pollution free environment  throughout the year. MITE also provides the right facilities for all round development of a student. Ample facilities are provided for the students to excel in the sports arena. The college has a 400 meters track ground, Cricket, Football, Volleball ground. Synthetic Bassketball Court of International Standard worth INR 25 Lakhs Two synthetic layered Badmintion Courts for both  Boys & Girls costing INR 1.75 Lakhs Ongoing construction of Synthetic Tennis Court of International Standard Seperate Gymnasium for both Boys & Girls is also one of the highlight of the sports facility.

MITE has Bus facilities to Mangalore, Udupi, Karkala, Mulki, Surathkal, Hebri, Brahmavara, Belthangady and also BC Road .

I had heard that placements are good at this college and that all the faculties are very friendly. When I had visited the campus for the admission process the environment of the campus gave me a positive feeling that this is the right place to start my career. The admission process was in the month of June and the process was smooth and fast.

There were many factors to select this college, some of those include good infrastructure, good placement facilities, academics, cultural fests, hostel & food. The thing i like the most about this college is its infrastructure and cultural fests, which are the best in the town.

MITE College was simple and best College in Mangalore, which has both academics and student freedom at the same time. The College surrounding was good, the infrastructure, placement was okay and hostel facility too. So i thought of joining might ratger then other institutions in Mangalore.

I choose Mangalore institute of technology and engineering, because of its brand name in Mangalore city. It is well known college known for its academics, infrastructure and placements. I opted mechanical engineering because of my keen interest in automotive sector.

I choosed Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering college because it attracted me by it’s outcomes and facilities.There many buildings for hostelites,4 for boys and 3 for girls.There are many vans for travelling students or taking them to college from their home city.AND good teaching.
