The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2021 Examination dates for both sessions at least 15 days before the exam.

Amid the deadly second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, had finally communicated the much-awaited update on CBSE Class 12th Examination. In a recent meeting, the PM cancelled the CBSE Class 12 board exam 2021.

Apart from this, the engineering entrance JEE Main 2021 April and May examinations and medical entrance exam NEET are also likely to be conducted in August, depending on the COVID situation in the country.

News agency PTI quoted a source as saying, “A review meeting is likely to be conducted soon to decide on the schedule of the pending editions of JEE-Mains and whether NEET-UG can be conducted on August 1.”

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2021 Examination dates for both sessions at least 15 days before the exam. JEE Main Exam dates for the April and May sessions will be rescheduled later and will be announced on the official website. Students who have applied for the same should check the official websites jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in for JEE Main 2021 dates frequently.

For the unversed, the JEE-Mains is being conducted four times a year from this session onwards to offer flexibility to students. The first phase in February was followed by the second in March, while the next phases were scheduled for April and May. The last two phases were then cancelled amid the second wave of COVID-19 and the rising cases in the country. Just last week, JEE-Advanced, which was scheduled for July 3, was also postponed.

No further decision was taken about NEET-UG and the ministry is also yet to decide on the fate of the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET).
