Sree Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering, named after Sree Narayana Guru (1855 – 1928) was established in 2002 by the Kunnathunadu S.N.D.P Yogam Union.

The college is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. It is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and International Accreditation Organization (IAO) and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Sree Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering, also known as SNGCE is located in the Kolenchery-Perumbavoor Road, gaining leverage as a very diverse and accessible college. The college has a total of 6 undergraduate programs across the B.Tech stream, with the most popular courses being Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ship Building Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering.

The college also offers a total of 9 postgraduate courses across the streams Computer Applications, Management and Technology. The most popular postgraduate courses offered by SNGCE are MBA and MCA. SNGCE is also a qualified research centre of the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, where students can do their PhD.

SNGCE offers a good platform for studying civil engineering as the college alone has one of the largest lab facilities in Kerala. By the way in the current scenario where studying engineering in their own state is fading away, the college is facing many difficulties with students and faculties.

Good placement opportunities for computer science especially. Infosys used to host our college. Also, many other privileged companies are also part of our placement cell.

College infrastructure can be more good . Faculty should be more dedicated towards their Teaching.They should provide more practical session and time for extra curricular activities Their should provide more facilities for drinking water in college.

There’s positives and negatives to all the colleges out there and so there is for this college too. The staffs at times may teach extremely poorly and at other times may feel lazy and their jobs. But they’re mostly trying to bring out their best and make us thrive in our life.
