Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology Haliyal,a prestigious higher education institution, was founded in Haliyal, Karnataka, in 2004. Computer Center (CC) the neural system of VDIT provides 24×7 and 365 days a year uninterrupted computing and network infrastructure along with Internet, Email, Web, DNS, CCTV, FeedBack, Antivirus, to all the stakeholders of the institute. CC also provides various advanced and special purpose software like Sophos for all the campus internet users.

Hostel

One of the major concerns of parents about their wards the facilities of stay and food. VDIT promises parental care to boys and girl students residing in the hostel.

Sports

VDIT keen in providing sufficient time and facilities for sports and gymnasium. A physical Director takes care of physical fitness and sporting needs of student. A well- equipped gym available. VDIT Has facilities for indoor games like table tennis, carom, chess, etc. and for outdoor games such as volleyball, foot ball, Hand ball as well as Kho-Kho, Basketball, Cricket, Athletics and Net Ball etc.

Transportation

Safety of the students a major concern. Hence, the transport facility provided by our institution is fully equipped with comfortable seating layout in each of our bus. The college provides excellent transportation facilities with a fleet of 12 buses for students and staff from Hubballi, Dharwad, Dandeli, Belagavi, Alnavar, Khanapur and Beedi.

Mess

Inside the campus of our VDRIT College there Mess & Two Canteen that function well to serve the students and staff members. The administration of these Canteen & Mess given to experienced, proficient and committed contractors. All these Mess & Canteen is open on all working days. Besides, they provide food at a very nominal price. Purified water from Reverse Osmosis plant utilized for cooking and drinking. Hot water is also provided for cooking and drinking purposes.
