Vemana Institute of Technology Bangalore
Vemana Institute of Technology Bangalore a premier institute established under aegis of KRJS during the year 1999 in the heart of the Bengaluru city having vast land area of about 5 acres. Institute has started with 3 Under Graduate (UG) courses of 180 intake and progressively grown up to 5 UG courses with 600 intake, and 5 VTU approved Research centers.
The institute named after “Dharshanika Mahayogi Vemana”.VIT recognized by Govt. of Karnataka, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, .
Admission
Admissions for all courses done based on the ranks secured in the corresponding entrance exam for each course and the 12th board exam / equivalent qualifying exams.
For B.Tech courses, JEE Mains, KCET(Karnataka Common Entrance Test), and COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka – Undergraduate Entrance Test) are accepted.
Facilities
Library
The library has a collection of 22,000 volumes with 6,900 titles covering various engineering subjects. The library also has 50 Journals both national and international. It also has the collection of CD’s and OPAC facility to locate the documents. The library has about 800 books in the book bank scheme .
Hostel
The college has boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
Sports Complex
The campus has a number of centres for physical education and sports activities.
Cafeteria
Hygiene is of utmost importance as student’s healthy body is the goal. Provide very hygienic & homely food to our students, where in they can opt North or South Indian food.
Students Club
Student Council is a representative structure through which students can become involved in the affairs of the college.
