Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management Bantakal (SMVITM), a prestigious higher education institution, was founded in Karnataka, in 2010. The institute offers 8 UG Degree programmes for students to further their studies. Facilities

Library

A well-equipped library is an essential and integral component of any education system, especially of higher education. Without a proper information and knowledge infrastructure, no education system can sustain and achieve its stated goals and objectives. Library is a hub of all activities of general as well as technical education.

The Central Library at SMVITM housed in a spacious three-storey state of the art independent block. Two floors of the block are occupied exclusively by the Central Library. It has about 1300 square meters of built-up area. The Central Library has a collection of 37,300 volumes of reference/text books, e-books and general category books with over 3,500 titles. In addition to these, there are periodicals and CDs on science, engineering and technology.

Hostel

The college has boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

Sports

To achieve a healthier lifestyle while coping with the pressures of studying, one needs to be healthy both emotionally and physically. The campus has a number of centres for physical education and sports activities that help the students maintain fitness and develop a competitive spirit.

Transportation

The college has two buses with a seating capacity of 60 students used for clinical as well as community posting.
