K.Pandyarajah Ballal institutions Mangaluru ,K Pandyarajah Ballal Nursing Institute first started in the year 1992 and now contain  paramedical sciences , Nursing e and physiotherapy. The institution is now proud to be seat of post graduate teaching in both the fields.Realizing the demands of a developing country like ours, with the foresight of growing medical industry and of supportive paramedical fields, our founder Dr. K.R.BALLAL started this institution in memory of his father Late K.Pandyarajah Ballal. Masters program in both physiotherapy and nursing have started since 2005, in various specialties of the subject Dr. K.R Ballal, doctor of general surgery and orthopedics, professor at Kasturba Medical college Mangalore, born to family of land lords, started his career after having completed his post graduate studies from KMC, went abroad to improve his skills, and learn from the health schemes of western countries, came back to his home town and set up a well equipped nursing home, which has carved a name for itself over the 38 years of its existence.

The year 1992 brought about the inception of this institute with “School of nursing” soon to be followed by courses like bachelors degree in nursing and physiotherapy.Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, Bangalore, since the year 1998.VIntake of 60 students in both the nursing program and an intake of 40 students for the physiotherapy program. Keeping in mind the practical clinical hands on experience required in this field, we have restricted our intake, to these numbers.

Facilities

Accommodation

The college accommodation service assists all students, both undergraduates and postgraduates. While on-campus accommodation is provided for the female students, a separate off- campus accommodation is provided for the male students. A Healthy Vegetarian mess caters the need of the students. The mess charges thus equally divided among the students on a share and divide basis. The students also expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel.

Sports

The campus has excellent playing fields, out door and indoor game activities, indoor fitness facilities, state of the art gymnasium for the students to improve their level of fitness and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

Library

Well supported by excellent library, audio-visual and computing services. The library is spacious and well equipped with all medical and physiotherapy books and journals.

Individual computer stations , room full of open access to Helinet, e-journals, e-books all providing constant, free internet access also available.

All students have file storage space and a wide range of on-line learning materials.

Extra curricular activities

Campus cultural life includes music, drama, dance etc for instance . Diverse cultural background of  students also thus reflected in a profusion of special interest societies.
