Father Muller College of Nursing Mangalore is a well- regarded institution with a rich history of serving the community. The college was established primarily to benefit the Christian community but is open to all irrespective of religion, caste, or community. Affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the national regulatory body for nursing education in India. Holds the distinction of being the first Nursing College under Rajiv Gandhi University to be accredited with an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college’s foundation arose from the growing need for qualified nurses to complement the improved medical and surgical services offered by the Father Muller Hospital. Over the years, it has undoubtedly played a significant role in providing well-trained nurses to the healthcare sector in India.

In essence, Father Muller College of Nursing blends its Christian heritage with a commitment to providing top-notch nursing education that serves a diverse student body and contributes to the advancement of healthcare in India.

Courses

In 1987 the College of Nursing came into existence with the Four Year B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course to keep pace with the rapid advancement in Health and Nursing Sciences. The Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course of two years duration for upgrading those with Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery also started  under Mangaluru University.

In response to the pressing need of the professional Nurse leaders and nurse educators, Post – Graduate degree programme in nursing, also started in 1992 in 5 specialties under Mangaluru University.

Smart Classrooms

Smart Classrooms  for 100 students which fulfills the guideline given by the regulatory bodies. Every class room  provide  ergonomically designed seating arrangements, smart board, sound system, Wi-Fi connectivity and CCTV cameras for instance .

Laboratories

Innovative teaching methods  with the help of laboratories according to the specialties furthermore enhancing the learning experience . A well-equipped Computer Lab  also available  . In addition photocopier also available .

FMSSC [Father Muller Simulation and Skill Center]

It’s a state of the art, multi-professional training facility equipped with the most advanced medical simulators and skills trainers. Established in November 2015 as the first  advanced simulation Centre in Mangaluru, moreover it  inculcate evidence based simulation  into the healthcare curriculum. And also  provide healthcare training to the non-healthcare community, clinical undergraduates, postgraduates and qualified professionals from the fields of medicine, nursing and other allied sciences . Its the first medical college in Mangalore to  accredits by the American Heart Association as an authorized training Centre for CPR & ECC courses.

Halls Of Utility And Auditorium

Overall 6 Seminar halls and 3 auditoriums with Wi-Fi and ICT facility , to conduct College-level events, State, National & International Conferences, Workshops and Symposium for instance .
