BMS College of Engineering Bangalore (BMSCE) founded in 1946, BMSCE holds the distinction of being the first private engineering college in India. This forward-thinking initiative by Late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah, a visionary philanthropist, and nurtured by his son Late Sri. B. S. Narayan, paved the way for countless future engineers.

Nestled in the heart of Bangalore, India’s Garden City, BMSCE boasts a convenient location just 5 kilometers from the central railway station. The sprawling campus encompasses over 11 acres, offering ample space for academic pursuits and student life. Courses

Started with only 03 undergraduate courses, BMSCE today offers 13 Undergraduate & 16 Postgraduate courses both in conventional and emerging areas. 14 of its Departments are recognized as Research Centers offering PhD/M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees in Science, Engineering and Management. The College has been effectively practicing outcome based education.The institution has strong linkages and collaborations with reputed national and international institutes/organizations to nourish academic, research and innovation. The academic performance of the students has been exceptional, more than 90% of the students secure first class/distinction. The institution has an excellent Placement and Training Centre. More than 200 reputed Core/IT/MNC companies visit the campus every year recruiting students from various branches. More than the 90% of the eligible students get placed every year. The institution is consistently ranked amongst the best engineering institutes in the country.

Facilities

Library

The library aesthetically located in a central place near the main entrance of the college and very prominently housed in a big and spacious building with a floor area of 2625.67 sq. m. The Library has tie-up with INDEST Consortium, access to IEL online resources is available in the library. Library receives 165 numbers of technical journals and arranged area wise in the periodicals section. Library also has access to IEEE, ASCE, ASME, ACM digital library, springer link, and science direct periodicals in digital form through INDEST consortium, IIT Delhi. The library is automating its services and activities through “LIBSYS” package, which gives search facility, reservation facility among other things for the users.

Hostel

provide accommodation to the students wishing to reside in the hostels. BMSET Hostels gives a distinct advantage of befriending with students from across the globe . Hostels are independent units in respects to its internal administration under the overall supervision of council of wardens and the hostel management. The hostels are located in the southern side and adjacent to the college campus and have a separate hostel office and mess within the hostel premises.

Mess

The mess has a centralized modern kitchen and a separate dining hall for both. General menus for each month decided by the hostelite representatives selected by the hostels. Special menus introduced and served on all important festivals.

Sports

Indoor & outdoor games available. The institution supports and encourages the students to involve in these sports. We are ranked at the top by VTU for securing highest points in Sports & cultural Competitions/tournaments.

Placements

Very good college for CSE, ISC and ECE students. If you are willing to study, then this college is okay. If you want placements, then this college is not advisable for other branches.
