Courses

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing): This is a four-year undergraduate program designed for students who have just completed their higher secondary education (12th grade) in science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English. The minimum marks requirement is 50% aggregate in these subjects.

• Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (PB B.Sc Nursing): This is a two-year program designed for registered nurses who want to upgrade their qualifications. Applicants must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with a minimum of two years of work experience and a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with at least 50% marks.

• GNM Program (General Nursing and Midwifery) : Vagdevi College of Nursing also offers a three-year diploma program in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). This program prepares students for careers in general healthcare, nursing, and midwifery. The minimum eligibility criteria for the GNM program is:

Pass Class 12 from a recognized board.

Science subjects at the 10+2 level are preferred, but not mandatory.

Minimum marks requirement of 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

You need to score at least 45% of the total marks in your Class 12 exams (including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) to be eligible for the GNM program.

Facilities

Hostel

For the safe and comfortable stay of outside students during their college life, Vagdevi College of Nursing has a separate hostel facility for both. The hostel includes all the basic facilities with a clean environment and hygienic food. Both north Indian and south Indian foods are served.

Every floor has a warden to check the hostel discipline and safety of the students. Hostel inmates have to follow strict guidelines and obey all the rules and regulations.

Library

The library filled with a variety of learning resources that are useful to the students in their academics and research. Variety of books, journals, periodicals, newspapers, research papers, charts, etc.

Co Curiccular Activities

Along with studies, academics filled with a lot of co-curricular activities. The main intention of these activities is to add value to their personality development. The co-curricular activities bring them closer, explore their talents, expose them to leadership, be responsible to work, etc.

Clinical Facilities

Lab

There are four different nursing laboratories built within the campus; Fundamental Lab, Community Lab, OBG Lab & Pediatrics Lab. These labs benefit students with a variety of opportunities to gain experience and confidence in performing a wide variety of practices in nursing technologies.
