Srinivas College of Pharmacy  Mangalore ,established in the year 2004 offers both Under and Post Graduate, Diploma and Doctoral Courses in Pharmacy. The college is located at the Valachil Campus of the Srinivas Group of Colleges with picturesque surroundings. The campus has a salubrious climate throughout the year therefore students have the best environment for the studies. In addition , Campus is well connected by all means of transport hence,by providing state-of-the-art facilities to the young aspirants.

Srinivas was started by the  A Shama Rao foundation’s INR 2009.

The Srinivas Group of colleges was set up under the banner of A. Shama Rao Foundation in the year 1988 by Shri CA A. Raghavendra Rao a well-known and leading Chartered accountant of Mangaluru.

To build an institution of excellence in the field of Pharmacy and to excel in the core areas of clinical research, drug development, and community health care. We want to see India as a world leader in providing health care. In addition, we want to contribute to society through community health service Programmes, environmental protection, and Social interactions

 

PG Programmes

 


 

Srinivas college of pharmacy mangalore introduced PG Programme (M.Pharm, Pharmacology) on 14/2/2010 and was inaugurated by Dr. M.D. Karvekar, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore also accorded permission to Srinivas College of Pharmacy to start PG courses .

In 2012 Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore recognized Srinivas College of Pharmacy as a center for research program leading to Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, and also accorded permission to start M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Analysis.

Srinivas college of pharmacy , known for quality education, professional ethics, and moral values. Considering the educational values, being imbibed among the student community, the Karnataka chapter of APTI has bestowed the “PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR -2016” award on Principal Dr. A.R.Shabaraya and  also placed in band 51-75 rank by the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework).

The college also received a big boost, for research programs in formulation development. Vision group of Science and Technology (Govt of Karnataka) K-FIST level-II, has sanctioned 40 lakhs, to the research proposal submitted by the Principal of the college Dr. A.R. Shabaraya.

Spacious Class Rooms:

 

Spacious, well ventilated, and equipped with all the necessary presentation facilities like LCD projector, overhead projector, and slide projector.

 

Microbiology Lab & Biotechnology Lab:

 

To carry out microbiological experiments like identification of bacteria, motility, sterility testing, microbiological assays etc  for instance .

 

Pharmacognosy lab:

 

To study the morphological characteristics of crude drugs. And also to isolate and estimate the active principles from plant sources.

 

Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab:

 

To study the various systems of the human body. And also about the structural aspect of the human body

 

Pharmacology Lab:

 

Testing of drugs obtained from both chemical and mineral sources. And also to study about  pharmacological aspects of the drugs .

 

 

  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry lab I:

 

Both Identification and preparation of organic compounds. And also to carry out the limit test and impurity analysis of the given compounds.

 

  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry lab II:

 

Assay of medicinally important drugs and monograph analysis. And also to study the various aspects of synthesizing newer drugs.

 

  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry lab III:

 

For the Quantitative determination of organic compounds by functional group analysis. And also synthesis of compounds involving multiple steps.

 

Instrumentation lab:

 

Equipped with  latest analytical instruments. Students carry out analyses of both the physical and chemical parameters of the compounds.

 

  • Pharmaceutics lab-I:

 

Preparation of various dosage forms  tablets, capsules, liquid orals etc. for instance .

 

  • Pharmaceutics lab-II:

 

To study the physical properties of both drugs and their formulations. And also Study of unit operations like drying, evaporation, filtration etc.
