Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Bangalore

Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Bangalore (Sir MVIT) established in 1986. The institute offers a total of 20 courses, including BE, MTech, MCA, MBA, Integrated PhD, PhD, and MS By Research. These courses are offered in affiliation with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The 133-acre campus of the institute has 2,800 students and nearly 250 faculty members. It also has lecture rooms, fully equipped labs, and project labs.

Facilities

Sports

Students are regularly participating in various sports activities organized by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and also other organizations and have won many prizes to bring name and fame to the institution. Our Institution has provided good facilities with 30 acres of land for sports.

Browsing Center

The campus has its own Internet Center with 80 terminals that provides browsing facilities to all students.

Canteen

The Campus has a Canteen inside the campus in which both South Indian and North Indian dishes are available at reasonable rates. The canteen remains open on all working days.

Health Care

Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences & Hospital located in the campus to provide dental care to the students and staff along with general care to the faculty & students.

Hostel

There are four Men’s Hostels and two Ladies’ Hostels. One more Ladies’ Hostel block is under construction.

Transport

Institute has a fleet of college buses to make travel easy for students from different parts of the city, with travel passes issued to interested students and faculty.

Library

Library and Information Centre is located in an independent spacious block with an area of 1700 Sq.m.

Staff Quarters

The campus has staff quarters exclusively for Teaching & Non-Teaching staff from single bedroom accommodation to three bedroom accommodation. The facility of Indoor and Outdoor Games, Sports, Gymnasium is available for staff.  Bare minimum traffic on the campus roads facilitates walking and jogging opportunity. Basic needs for residents are also available in the campus. Children of staff will be provided with Bus facility to the schools nearby.
