Ramaiah College of Law Bangalore which bears testimony to the sagacity and visionary zeal of our beloved founder Dr. Late Sri.M.S.Ramaiah was established in 1995 with the approval of Bar Council of India. It added one more feather to the cap of M.S.Ramaiah Group of Institutions.
The Gokula Education Foundation (GEF) was established in the year 1962 by Hon’ble Founder Chairman Dr. M. S. Ramaiah, a visionary, philanthropist and educationalist who pioneered a galaxy of institutions encompassing every field of Education with the sole objective of serving the society. Today it runs several educational institutions having independent infrastructure, faculty of high caliber with effective and interactive teaching skills.
In the year 1995, the Hon’ble Founder Chairman M.S. Ramaiah established a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in the area of legal studies with the noble mission of imparting quality legal education adopting a befitting approach in a healthy academic atmosphere which has gone a long way in moulding the future of students to enable them to meet professional challenges with confidence and fortitude.
The college has contributed competent and value based professionals in the arena of law and this is evident from the fact, that some of its outstanding graduates have excelled in their profession and have also been working in distinguished law firms and companies.
Facilities
Library
The college has a well-equipped library with state-of-the-art facilities and over 10,000 books including text books, reference books, periodicals, journals, national and international law reports. Students can avail borrowing rights and photocopies of books. The management has given top priority for the development of library. It is our policy to have a collection of valuable books pertaining to contemporary legal issues apart from subjects included in the curriculum. Students also have access to online legal databases such as Manupatra and the Laws [CD version] for legal research
Computer Lab
The college has a computer lab established with internet facilities to enable students to enrich their knowledge with modern technology
Moot Court Hall
Spacious, well-furnished Moot Court Hall to conduct moot court competitions.
Auditorium
The college has auditoriums to conduct seminars and guest lectures.
Hostel and Canteen
The management provides separate residential hostels for boys and girls. The residential hostels managed by the Chief Warden with the help of resident wardens. Admission to the hostel made on a first come first serve basis, subject to regulations made by the management from time to time. Right of admission to and expulsion from the hostel rests with the management. Application for admission to hostel canobt ained from the Chief Warden, submitted along with the prescribed fee. Canteen is situated in the premises of the institution where healthy and wholesome food is served.
Parent Student Information System
The college provides a student information portal with access to authorized persons having login id and password, where students and parents can obtain information about attendance status and test/exam results. SMS alert facility is also provided by the college to parents to give any important information relating to their wards such as attendance, test results, upcoming event in the college
Membership Programme
Mentoring is a unique method supporting students to improve their learning and leadership skills, motivating them towards their future career development. With this in mind, the college has a mentorship programme wherein the faculty given training on mentor system and meet the students on day-to-day basis to listen to the issues of the students and guide them on their overall personality development.
Medical Facility
There is a hospital with all super specialties to take care of health issues of students. Students can also avail insurance benefit schemes

Placement
The Placement and Internship Committee of the Institution envisions that the students of RCL shall use their skills gained in the law school to learn, gain experience and create an impact in society with regard to their internships during their times in law school or their employment post law school.
Objectives
The RCL Placement and Internship Committee’s objectives include
- creating a platform for students of the Institution to obtain meaningful internship opportunities during their time in the law school; and
- create opportunities for their placement into employment in a variety of fields ranging from but not limited to law to public policy
Functions
The functions of the Placement and Internship Committee of the Institution includes:
- providing soft skills training to students on communication, legal skills and management.
- assistance in networking and profile building of students.
- Creating a database of students available for placement.
- Creating a database of organizations available for hiring.
- Assisting students with calls for internship either received by the law school or brought to the committee by the students.
- Maintenance and improvement of networking among law firms, policy and think tanks and other organizations.
