NITTE Institute of Physiotherapy

NITTE Institute of Physiotherapy established in 1997. The Institute is now a constituent unit of the Nitte University, recognised by the Government of India and the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP). Located at the Medical Sciences Complex at Deralakatte, Mangalore, Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy imparts degree and postgraduate courses in Physiotherapy. The college offers excellent facilities for practical training at the sophisticated multispeciality Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital.

NIPT has an international MOU with the University of Santo Tomas for student & faculty exchange program.

Facilities

At NIPT, you will make your mark. It’s our firm belief at NIPT, that to improve the abilities of our students, they must be provided with opportunities to explore their creativity. By forging great friendships, playing sports, arts and culture and taking part in campus life, you will make the most of your time as a college student. Not everything on campus, however is exclusively about the academic development because the college objective is to give them all encompassing development.

Arts and Culture

Cultural programmes are organized during the year to encourage natural talents. Students form teams and share responsibility in organizing the events. “LASYA”- the cultural fest in the context of Hindu mythology, describes the dance performed by Goddess Parvati as it expresses happiness and is filled with grace and beauty. There is a variety in the events that take place, which to name a few are, dance ( classical, eastern and western), music, fashion show etc.

Celebrations

All major Indian festivals are celebrated in the campus with complete enthusiasm and enjoyment.

Yoga

Word means “union”, and union means you begin to experience the universality of who you are. Conducted for the students here on regular basis making them better and efficient individuals.

Sporting Excellence

NIPT has excellent sports and recreation facilities on campus. Students participate regularly in Inter collegiate, Inter University events. The campus holds facilities for tennis, basketball, volleyball, cricket practice pitches, football and athletics.

The campus even has a central gym for the students to stay fit and healthy. It is also equipped with body building equipment.

Student Life

Attending the first year of college presents a lot of new experiences: living away from home, meeting new people and managing own time.

All activity related to extracurricular programs, community service, forums, student council are managed by the students affairs department. Counsellors are available to guide the students and share personal issues.

Housing

The students accommodation is a home away from home. There are separate hostels for men and women on the campus, with all the facilities for study and recreation.
