KVG Polytechnic situated on the banks of the River PAYASWINI and is located at a distance of 85 km from the port city of Mangaluru, a popular education hub, and 45 Kms behind Madikeri on the way of Mangaluru – Bengaluru National Highway NH 75 (old NH-48 and is also situated nearer to the interstate ( Kerala) border, 65 Kms away from Kasaragod.The Campus is established by The Academy Of Liberal Education  by the late Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda in  1967.

College also promoted by Academy of Liberal Education (Regd) Sullia .The Rural based premiere technical institution, established in the year of 1984, founded by Late Dr Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda,and, offers quality education to students to achieve their goals of becoming good professionals. Spread over an area of 5 acres, equipped with the best of infrastructure and has highly accomplished professionals who form part of the teaching and the administrative staff.

Library

 

The library is Housed in a main wing of the college academic building & Collectively support the educational needs of all the programmes.

 The Library stretches over 1000 square ft with the capacity to accommodate 200 students . It is kept open from 9.00 A.M to 5 P.M for the benefit of the students and staff. The library has a collection of 10250 volumes of text and reference books and also book bank facility both for SC/ST and general category students.

 

Hostels

 

The institution has separate hostel blocks both for Boys and Girls . There are two boys hostel blocks and two girls’ hostel blocks in the campus. Each hostel block managed under the supervision of a Manager and co-workers. Each room in all the hostels thus furnished with cots, tables, chairs, wardrobe and a ceiling fan.

Hostel runs vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess with North Indian and South India food to meet the needs of students. Cultural events, self-development programs conducted on regular basis to motivate the students and to create a healthy atmosphere. All the hostel blocks thus well connected with 100 mbps Campus network.

The facilities include Health Care, Processed Drinking water, Cold & Hot water supply, and a power house to provide backup power supply in all hostel blocks Television Hall, full security system Ambulance Service for emergency and referral services.

Teaching staff regularly visit and stay in the hostel blocks to motivate students to study. A strict code of conduct practiced at all Hostel blocks. Students wishing to stay in the Hostel will have to abide by the code of conduct.

The department of Training& Placement is wholly active in terms of healthy, socially conscious, technically competent with aim of all the able students who are employable. Train the students as per the requirements of the industry. And headed by the Placement Officer and a Placement Co-ordinator.

Approved by All India Council for Technical Education , an apex body of the Government of India. Affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), under the recognisation of Department of Technical Education (D T E) Bangalore Karnataka.. Presently aided by government of Karnataka.
