Koshys College of Nursing Bangalore

 

 

Koshys College of Nursing Bangalore one of the Nursing colleges in Karnataka. It is popularly known as KCN Bangalore, and it was established in the year 2003. Affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, KCN offers a supportive and challenging environment to prepare students for successful careers in nursing. KCN Bangalore started with a General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) program in 2003. Recognizing the evolving healthcare landscape, they introduced Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) and Post Basic Bachelor of Science (PBBSc) options for diploma holders. In 2010, KCN introduced a Master of Science in Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) program to address the growing demand for specialized nurses.

The college faculty goes beyond academics, encouraging students to develop the skills and resilience needed to navigate the complexities of the nursing profession. This focus prepares graduates to excel in various paramedical and degree-based nursing careers.

Hostel

 

Separate hostels for boys providing comfortable accommodation in single or shared rooms, catering to students’ preferences. This allows them to choose the living arrangement that best suits their study habits and social needs. Single rooms offer privacy and a quiet environment for focused studying, while shared rooms can foster a sense of community and camaraderie among residents.

 

Library

 

The library provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for students to study and conduct research. With ample seating for over 100 students, it allows for individual study sessions or group discussions. The library houses a vast collection of books on a wide range of nursing subjects, ensuring students have access to the latest knowledge and resources in their field. The library has a dedicated section with materials specifically tailored to prepare students for the CGFNS exam, a crucial step for pursuing an international nursing career .The library provides access to a comprehensive online library with a collection of e-books, journals, and other digital resources. Students can access these resources from the library’s high-configuration computers or their personal devices.

 

Cafeteria

 

Offers hygienic and homely meals with North and South Indian options. Spacious dining area with filtered drinking water.

 

Transportation

 

The college has two buses with a seating capacity of 60 students used for clinical as well as community posting. Bus facilities also given to interested students who attend prayers at church and temple on Sundays & General Holidays.

 

Lab

 

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.
