BMS College of Law Bangalore Karnataka Karnataka, has been a cornerstone of legal education since its inception in 1963. Established as a private institution under the visionary leadership of the BMS Educational Trust, BMSCL is named after the esteemed Dharmaprakasha Rajakaryaprasakhta B.M. Sreenivasaiah, a pioneer in Karnataka’s educational landscape.

A Legacy of Excellence

The college’s journey began under the auspices of Mysore University, with the inaugural year marked by the esteemed presence of Late AG Ramachandra Rao, the then-Education Minister of Mysore. The early years witnessed invaluable guidance and support from prominent figures like Hon’ble Justice Mr. E.S. Venkataramaiah and Hon’ble Justice Mr. M.N. Venkatachalaiah, both former Chief Justices of India. These luminaries, along with legal stalwarts like Late V. Krishnamurthy (Senior Advocate) and esteemed professors like Late Venkatakrishnappa and Late S.V. Ramanna, played a pivotal role in shaping the college’s foundation and fostering a culture of legal excellence.

Beyond Beginnings

This initial period laid the groundwork for BMSCL’s continued success. Today, the college boasts affiliation with the reputed Bar Council of India (BCI) and is led by the capable Dr. Anitha F N D’Souza. It offers a diverse range of law programs, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for thriving legal careers.

There are separate  hostels provided with all the amenities and necessary infrastructure. There are spacious, well- ventilated and furnished rooms. It also offers NSS, Indoor and Outdoor Sports facilities.

Placements

 

 

The placements of our college are very good and the selection is done on the basis of personal interview as well as the communication skills of the students And a particular cell is created for the students in order to improve their communication skills and personality development.
