APS College of Engineering Bangalore established in 1997 by the APS Educational Trust, a widely known foundation with a glorious 65 years of service in the educational field through a chain of schools, pre-university and degree colleges. The trust has also started one other college in Bangalore, namely APS College of Commerce

APS College of Engineering, shortly known as APSCE is a co-educational private college, affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and accredited to the All India Council of Technical Engineering. The college accommodates its students in a campus located in the suburbs of the city, located about 26km away from Bangalore, in Somanahalli, on Kanakapura Road. The college offers 5 undergraduate programs of 4 years under B.Tech – ECE, CSE, ISE, CV, Telecom. and ME and 2 undergraduate programs of 2 years under M.Tech – DEC and CSE.

The admission process for all courses is based on the qualifying entrance tests and marks secured on the 12th board exams/equivalent. Students who do not appear for entrance exams and counseling can apply by either filling in the application form present in the official website of the college or by visiting the colleges’ admission offices.

 Admission

Admissions for all courses are done based on the ranks secured in the corresponding entrance exam for each course and the 12th board exam / equivalent qualifying exams.

For B.Tech courses, JEE Mains, KCET(Karnataka Common Entrance Test), and COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka – Undergraduate Entrance Test) are accepted.

For M.Tech. Program, GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test) and KPGCET (Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test) are accepted.

How to Apply?

1.Students are required to download the application provided on the official website.

2.All the mandatory fields are to be filled by the students with precision.

3.All students must download the application form and fill it by hand.

4.After completion of form – filling, students can either bring the form to the college in person or send it through the post.

5.For students opting to do the application process in the premises of the college, they must bring the required documents mentioned below.

Placement

The maximum placement percentage of APS College of Engineering achieved 95%. Every year more than 40 companies visit the campus for placement, and hire them. The placement rate is 60% and about 75% students of APS also placed in the campus itself. The placement department provides students with about 20 seminars and workshops every year. Also offered specific training.

The placement criteria is as follows:

• Details of the upcoming company and placement schedule is provided to final year students.
• A convenient date assigned to the company.
• A pre-placement talk conducted with the students.
• A Group discussion and Company test conducted by the company.

Facilities

Library

The college has a vast and resourceful library with about 48 national and international journals and 24,000 volumes of books to help students with research and learning.

Laboratories

The college has 3 laboratories that have the latest equipment.

Sports

There are both indoor and outdoor facilities for sports. Students from APSCE regular achievers in tournaments sponsored by VTU at the State and National Levels. There is also a multi-Gymnasium.

Cafeteria

The college canteen provides healthy and wholesome food. It caters to both students and the faculty. It has a variety of food including fruit juices and cold drinks. The college charges a total fee of INR 34,000 per year.

Hostel

The college campus has hostel facilities for men accommodating nearly 150 students. Students can choose the type of room from the available single, double and triple occupancy. The college charges a total fee of INR 69,000 per year inclusive of a refundable caution deposit and food charges.

Transportation

The college though situated 26kms away from the major city, well connected by a fleet of buses. The buses travel around the city and pick up students from all the major residential areas in the city. Private buses like BMTC and KSTRC also have a scheduled stop in front of the college, making travelling very comfortable. The college charges a total fee of INR 24,000 per year with an exclusion for students travelling from APS Educational Trust, NR Colony and Yelachenahalli, Metro Station.

Also, the college has Wi-Fi across the premises, AC Halls, Co-curricular Activities and Student Counselling.
