Shree Niranjana Swamy Polytechnic , prestigious Institution owned and run by the Shree Niranjana Swamy Education Trust of Mangalore. Started on 7th October 1984.The Polytechnic is recognised by the Govt. of Karnataka and Affiliated to the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), and the Board of Technical Education, Karnataka State. The Govt, of Karnataka has extended the grant-in-aid facility from 24-11-2006 onwards for 3 courses  Auto Eng.9 Civil Eng. and E&C Eng the year. This Institution has been imparting technical education to like younger generation. So that they could be the part and parcel of modern India. He believed that technical education is an integral part of human values and this is a guideline for us.

Sri Niranjana Swamiji, a great missionary and social worker was a firm believer, and his opinion was that social changes can be brought only through education. With this aim he started S.N.S. Educational Trust way back in 1981.

Aims

Imparting quality education and developing in-depth domain knowledge in the students through competent, highly qualified faculty churned from various sources. Training the students to develop soft skills, interpersonal skills and other good contemporary personality traits required by the industry. Providing state-of-art infrastructure for teacher competence, student learning to produce students at accepted levels of competence. Organizing regular interactive sessions in the campus by industrial personnel, conducting workshops and seminars on the latest trends in technology with active participation of the students

Course Offered in Shree Niranjana Swamy Polytechnic

The Institution offers following three year diploma courses with intake capacity as noted below :

• Automobile Engineering

Deals with designing the vehicle, manufacturing new products ,repairing and servicing vehicles. It is also known as Automotive engineering or vehicle engineering. It involves studying motor systems design, technology and many more. The rapid advancement in technology in recent years has ushered in a new era of Hi-tech vehicles, making the business environment in the Indian auto industry very conducive. The prospects of an automobile engineer will be favorable, as the sector is growing at a very fast clip. Automobile engineering field requires a lot of determination, dedication and hard work. Degree holders in automobile engg. can be employed in executive and managerial positions in automobile manufacturing industries in various departments such as design, planning ,maintenance ,research & development,s ales and marketing etc.Another possibility for automobile engineers is to work as maintenance and service engineer in automobile workshop, aircraft industries and aviation, earth moving equipment manufacturing etc.

• Civil Engineering

One of the broadest and oldest of the engineering disciplines, extending across many technical specialties. Civil Engineers plan, design, and supervise the construction of facilities essential to modern life like space satellites and launching facilities, offshore structures, bridges, buildings, tunnels, highways, transit systems, dams, airports, harbours, water supply system and waste water treatment plants. A civil engineer is responsible for planning and designing a project, constructing the project to the required scale, and maintenance of the project. A civil engineer requires not only a high standard of engineering knowledge but also supervisory and administrative skills.

• Electronics & Communication Engineering

Deals with the electronic devices, circuits, communication equipment like transmitter, receiver, integrated circuits (IC). It also deals with basic electronics, analog and digital transmission & reception of data, voice and video (Example AM, FM, DTH), microprocessors, satellite communication, microwave engineering, antennae and wave progression. It aims to deepen the knowledge and skills of the students on the basic concepts and theories.

• Mechanical engineering

Engineering branch that combines engineering physics and mathematics principles with materials science, to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering branches

• Electrical & Electronics engineering

Computer Education is a part of all the courses.

The syllabus prescribed by the directorate of technical education and All India Council for Technical Education strictly followed. The students are provided with training in theory as well as practicals. Terminal Examinations, class tests and preperatory examination  conducted regularly and results intimated to parents/guardians.
