Courses

Prepares students for a rewarding career in professional nursing. The B.Sc Nursing program at Miranda College of Nursing Bangalore equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to provide compassionate and competent care to patients across various healthcare settings. The program combines a strong foundation in theoretical knowledge with practical experience gained through clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals.

Admission Criteria :

1.The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
2.The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of :

Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course).

or

Senior School certificate Examination (10+2). Pre-degree Examination (10+2)

or

An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science( Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (PCBE).

3. Candidate Shall be Medically Fit.

Post Basics BSC Nursing

Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (PB B.Sc Nursing) is a two-year undergraduate nursing program designed for registered nurses who want to upgrade their qualifications and knowledge. The program covers a wide range of topics in nursing, including advanced nursing practice, research, and management.

Admission Criteria

1.The candidate must have passed Class 12 in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects.

2.The candidate must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with a State Nursing Registration Council.

3.The candidate must have completed a three-year diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of 50% marks.

4.Also require the candidate to have a minimum of two years of work experience as a nurse after registration.

GNM

GNM referred as General Nursing and Midwifery it deals with the education of nurses in general health care, nursing, and midwifery. 3 years long Diploma program. Academic program 3 years long and 6 months dedicated towards internship. Internship mandatory. This programme will boost you in career prospects. After completing this course, successful candidates may register themselves as registered nurse or midwife with state nurse registration council.

Admission Criteria :

The contraction for the GNM course is General Nursing and Midwifery.
Karnataka GNM  Eligibility Criteria

1. Successful qualification of class XII from a known educational board.
2. If possible, science subjects as the main subjects of study at the 10+2 level.
3. A total mark of 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

Msc Nursing

Master of Science in Nursing (MSc Nursing) is a postgraduate degree program in nursing that typically lasts for two years. 1.The candidate must have passed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing) degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks.

2. Also require the candidate to have a minimum of one year of work experience as a nurse after registration.

Facilities

Hostel

The institution provides residential hostel to the boy and girl students separately. The residential hostel is managed by a teacher- warden appointed by the Principal. Right of admission and right of expulsion rest with the authorities.

Library

Miranda Library and information centre. We are indeed proud to say that we are having a library which is considered to be the best in Nursing field. We have secured nearly 3000 and above volumes on various subjects of the syllabus and other general interests and also continue to get a number of Indian and foreign Nursing journals.The library is well ventilated, spacious with comfortable sitting arrangements. Library is working from 9am to 5 pm.

Security

The College under surveillance of C.C.T.V camera installed art corridors and important areas of the campus that are monitored regularly. The college well equipped with fire extinguisher at every floor. Security personnel employed to regularly maintain the incoming and outgoing visitors.

Cafeteria

Hygiene is of utmost importance as student’s healthy body is the goal. Provide very hygienic & homely food to our students, where in they can opt North or South Indian food. Mess facilities are also excellent with a large dining area and filter water for drinking.

The Classrooms are spacious, well ventilated & well furnished.

A big 1000 seated well ventilated well- lighted room built to enable an audience to hear and watch performances like seminars, workshops and various cultural activities.
