Seshadripuram Law College

Seshadripuram Law College which is in the heart of the city, was started during 1984-85 under the aegis of the Seshadripuram Educational Trust. The Trust started the Institution with a cherished ambition to impart legal education which is a very important step towards spreading legal awareness and empower the helpless in the society. The College is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubli and recognized by Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

Courses

It conducts three year LL.B. Course since 1984. From 2004-05 Five Year LL.B. law course has been started. The college has a Governing Council duly constituted by Seshadripuram Educational Trust. Sri K. Krishnaswamy, advocate has been the Chairperson of the Governing Council. All the members of the Governing Council are accomplished academicians, legal luminaries, management experts and persons of eminence in public service. Governing Council meets regularly four times a year to review academic and administrative work.

To enable students to develop as intellectually alive, morally upright, socially responsible citizens with a positive attitude, ever ready for continuous personal and Professional Growth.

Facilities

Library

The College has a well equipped and furnished Library situated at 3rd Floor. It has all the facilities such as Computerised sources, Internet, Wi-Fi technology with CCTV surveillance, which creates a good reading environment for the Students and staff members.

Moot Court Hall

The College has well furnished Moot Court Hall. To encourage the skill of advocacy and to train the students in arguments, the Moot Court Competitions are held regularly. The Moot Court Committee conducts selection round to train the students, the selected students sent to participate in various National & International Level Moot Court Competitions. The Mock trials, client counseling sessions conducted in the Moot Court Hall to enrich the students with skills of advocacy.

Our Students have actively participated in various Moot Court Competition and have won many prizes such as Best Lady Advocate, Best Mooter, etc…

The College conducts National level Competitions regularly in which participants across the country take part. The same Judged by High Court Judges and Winners  awarded with Cash Prizes.

Computer Lab

We have well equipped computer lab with internet facilities, Wi-Fi connectivity access to online Law Journals which helps students to update themselves with current affairs and reading and writing articles to renewed journals.

Other facilities

Cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-  given to students who secure 90% to 95% in PUC and Degree examination results at the time of taking admission in our College. Students who secure 95% and above in PUC and Degree examination fully exempted from paying admission fees (have to pay only universities fees) at the time of taking admission to 1st Year LL.B Course.

Sports & Fitness

Department of Physical Education and sports  well equipped in our College. We encourage students to take part in national level, state level and university level competitions and we provide facilities for indoor games like table tennis, chess, carom, badminton, etc. Outdoor facilities for athletics, throw ball, volleyball, tennikoit, football, cricket, kabaddi, etc.

Our students accessed to gym facilities provided in Seshadripuram Main Degree College and Seshadripuram Composite College.

To motivate students, Seshadripuram Educational Trust has a tradition of giving cash prize of Rs. 5000/- to students who represents universities at university level sports competitions

Placements

The aspirant students always aim at high points. The placement committee helps the students in reaching their goal. It guides them through internship in reputed law firms, advocate offices. Career guidance programme  conducted. As a part of curriculum we conduct communication class & personality development programmes for the students which help them to build a good career in future. Our students  recruited in well reputed companies and the law firms. The committee also guides students in doing diploma courses and post graduation courses after completing the course.

Legal Aid Camp

Educational institutions have social responsibility to create awareness among public. Being a law college it is our primary responsibility to provide legal assistance to the mass. In order to achieve this, our college conducts legal aid programmes in rural areas.
