RV College of Architecture Bangalore (RVCA) globally recognized as a centre of excellence and quality education in the field of Architecture and Urban Design. R.V School of Architecture

 

 

Established in the year 1992, R.V. College of Architecture (RVCA) initially started as a Department of Architecture in R. V. College of Engineering (RVCE), Bengaluru. In 1995, the department shifted to an independent new building within the RVCE campus. The department obtained autonomy and renamed to R.V School of Architecture in 2009. Later in the same year, Council of Architecture (COA), India, approved its re-designation to R.V College of Architecture. In 2014, it shifted to a new campus with affiliation to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka.

Facilities

 

 

Computer Lab

 

The computer laboratory of RVCA facilitates learn and work with latest software. Sixty standalone systems of latest configuration loaded with licensed softwares including Autocad, Revit among others.

 

Seminar Hall

 

An air-conditioned, 130-capacity seminar hall, widely used for conducting seminars and talks by faculty and invited experts. Hall equipped with projection facilities and public address system.

 

Sports

 

Outdoor and indoor sport facilities comprising chess, carrom board, table tennis, basketball, badminton court and gymnasium are available within the premises

 

Hostel

 

Forty three-bed rooms are available in the Boys’ & Girls Hostel block. Additional thirty bed capacity is available in Venkatadri Hostel located about 4 kilometres from the campus. A vegetarian mess providing four meals a day attached to the hostel for the convenience of the students.

 

Canteen

 

Hostel inmates served with vegetarian meals comprising of breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner.  Hostel residents  served with vegetarian meals comprising of breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner.  Student Committee decides mess menu.

 

Multipurpose Hall

 

Named after the late Prof.Sudheendra Yelvagi, this 250-capacity auditorium serves the purpose of conducting bigger events. Also used for the purpose of conferences and cultural events in the college.

 

Studios

 

Twelve well-designed, spacious studios equipped with forty workstations. These well-lit studios provide a stimulating working environment allowing students to engage in the creative task of designing.
