Presidency University

Presidency University boasts of a very vibrant Campus Life. The Presidency Way of Life is all about individuality merging into mainstream diversity of the Presidency Fabric. The Campus offers an opportunity to every Freshman stepping into the Campus for the first time, to experience his/her own metamorphosis from a caterpillar-like Student into a Corporate World-ready and worthy Butterfly-like Graduate.

Presidency University is not a mere Portal of Learning. It is the very edifice where a social fabric inter-woven with diversity and co-existence is founded. It is nesting ground for Students of all nationalities and cultures who study together, interact and interface with each other, exchange views and enrich each other, ultimately creating a community of like-minded Presidencions, similar yet different in their own ways.

Student Life

As every freshman steps into the Portal of the Presidency University, he/she is oriented to the Presidency Way of Life. Students and Parents are inducted into the various Academic Programs, Academic Regulations, Academic Rigour including the Outcome Based Learning Norms and knowledge of the Choice Based Credit System Regime, the Evaluation Process, Student-centric Events, Internal Systems, Sub-systems and Processes.

Infrastructure

62-Acre lush green Campus. This State of the Art Campus professionally equipped with the latest in Design and Technology. Its Buildings  aesthetically designed with optimal utilization of the floor space. The various Blocks connected, floor to floor, through Steel Bridges, which facilitates seamless movement across the Campus. The Laboratories equipped with state of the art equipment. Classrooms spacious, well-lit and well-ventilated.

Sports

The Sports Department at the university believes that when you exercise your body, you exercise your mind as well. Besides academics, sports important co-curricular activities, included in all educational institutions.  Playing as a team encourages co-operation and leadership among the players. A wide variety of indoor and outdoor sport activities made available to the students of the university . The Sports department has excellent facilities and well trained sports instructors headed by experienced Director of Physical Education. Facilities and ample spaces available for outdoor sports. Facilities for table tennis, different indoor games, badminton courts and exercise rooms  also available for university students. A well equipped gymnasium  also coming up. Separate coaches for all the games .

Classrooms

Spacious and air-conditioned lecture classrooms and conference halls equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities for an enhanced learning experience. Conference halls that accommodate large groups at a time used often for seminars and group meetings.

ATM

Presidency University offers various banking facilities on campus premises. Students and faculty members can also use the ATM to facilitate access to bank accounts for cash withdrawals.

Library

Well-stocked with a vast collection of books, reports, journals and periodicals. The library also provides access to the best of business and management-related digital resources through its subscription to various databases consisting of scholarly and industry-relevant content. Students utilize these services for their classroom-related work and for further research into their areas of interest.

 Transport

Located just 15 kms away from international Airport and well connected by BMTC (Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation) bus service.
Besides, the university has 12 dedicated buses and it also provides pick up and drop services to the students and staff from the campus to the different parts of the city on  the approved routes which covers a large part of the city.  Interested students may choose nearest bus stop to their residence.

Computer Lab

The university has two state-of-the-art computing centres which added feathers to the university’s learning architecture. The computing Centre possesses 120/ [240] high end Dell systems and 120 Thin client machines. The centre maintains two specialized high performance servers. In addition to that, the Centre has a round the clock Wi-Fi connection. Dedicated bandwidth of 20 Mbps (1:1, full duplex) and 10Mbps available from two different vendors and hence internet made available for all the stake-holders. The administrative blocks, academic blocks, library and other buildings of the campus connected through the Wi-Fi.

The university holds the Microsoft Campus license agreement to use latest versions of MS softwares. Apart from the usual programming and application software, such as C, C++.. the Centre well equipped with latest versions of softwares, engineering tools and training kits, such as AUTOCAD from AutoDesk, CATIA V5 from DASSAULT systems for drafting and simulations, Bentley-Statpro – 2D Structural Analysis and design software and MATLAB for the benefit of students of different engineering disciplines.

Hostel

The University has a good hostel facility separate for boys and girls. Keeping the future needs, a new state of the art hostel block is coming up for providing additional capacity to accommodate 450 students near the University campus. Resident students are provided furnished accommodation comprising cot, chair, cupboard, internet Wi-Fi, etc. Each hostel is provided with independent dining area and common rooms, TV, etc. Hostel has indoor games facility. Hot and cold drinking water facility is provided in the hostel. Transport facility is provided to girl students during weekends and on holidays to go to nearby Yelahanka new town for shopping.

Hostel will be provided on first come first served basis. Random allotment for hostel and rooms done. Rooms and hostel once allotted  not changed.
