Courses

The college offers two main nursing programs:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing): This is a four-year undergraduate degree program that provides comprehensive education and training in all aspects of nursing.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM): This is a three-year diploma program with an additional six months of internship. It focuses on educating nurses in general healthcare, nursing, and midwifery skills.

Here’s a breakdown of each program:

B.Sc Nursing

Duration: Four academic years

Admission Criteria:

Minimum age: 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year

Education: Passed 12th grade (Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination, Senior School Certificate Examination, Pre-degree Examination) with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English, and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English)

Medical fitness

GNM

Duration: Three years with a six-month internship

Admission Criteria:

Passed 12th grade from a recognized board

Science subjects preferred at the 10+2 level (though not mandatory)

Minimum marks: 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)

Hostel

Hostel is well ventilated with excellent living rooms 24 hours water supply, recreation room, study hall where they feel at home. Mess provides hygienic and nutritious vegetarian & Non– Vegetarian food. Furniture, food recreation and all other aspects of comforts have been given high priority. The facilities for outdoor and indoor games adds to the attainment of physical & mental fitness of the students.

JES Mother College of nursing has Extensive library service together with systematic use of audio-visual aids are available to help the students in their learning process. JES Mother Teresa College Learning Laboratories consist of a Fundamental Lab, Nursing foundation lab, Computer lab, Nutrition Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Community Lab, OBG Lab & Pediatrics Lab to provide students with a variety of opportunity to gain experience and confidence in performing a wide variety of practice in nursing technologies.
