Facilities in KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital

Auditorium

The college is having a separated hall which accommodates 750 seating capacity as auditorium. The auditorium evam Examination hall accommodates 200 students to write the University exam as per the distance mentioned according to the norms. For smooth and efficient conduction of exams, the CC camera work has the electronic eyes.

Library

We have a classic central library which is Air conditioned and two reading rooms separate for Under Graduate and Post Graduate Students. The seating capacity in total for two reading room is 150. The number of books available on various subjects is about 11,198 and 45 Journal are available. Daily news paper are 15 and periodicals 05.

Digital Library

Air conditioned Digital library with  computers is well furnished. The staff, PG Students & UG Students are provided with free Internet facility. To update their knowledge, the Helinet facility is available for the e publications.

A/C  Seminar Hall

The seminar and CME’s are conducted regularly in the college. The management provided with a sound proof, air conditioned seminar hall with 150 push back seats.

Hostel

The college is attached with well-furnished hostel facilities for both Men & Women, the kitchen is state of art with steam chambers, exhaust facility and no smoke zones, well ventilated, four well lit, rooms with cc camera to ensure the security of the students at the main entrance and corridor. Well-furnished guest rooms are available in the hostel premises. The safe drinking water availability is ensured to the students.

Transport facilities

The college is provided with 2 mini buses for the transportation of Students. The students are benefices this facility for community visits, garden visits, study tours at free of cost.

Animal house

The Animal house facility is available to boost the teaching training and the research facilities. To meet the growing demand for high quality Laboratory in the field of experimental Pharmacology. The Animal house is essential. Each species of Animals housed in barrier maintained individual rooms  to avoid disease transmission and inter species conflicts.

All efforts thus made to maintain the animals under controlled environmental conditions, that is  temperature, relative humidity 12 hour alternate light and dark cycle.

Herbal Garden

The Herbal Garden of our institution spread out in an area of 5 acares of land. Here more than 300  species of medicinal plants thus grown for the study and gaining knowledge for the Under Graduate and Post Graduate students. Related with the subject Dravayaguna Vignana. Many herbs hence used for teaching purpose and treatment purpose as well. The preparations and formulations of many Ayurvedic medicines  procured from the garden to our pharmacy. Also useful for the students of second year BAMS as Dravyaguna Vignana is a part of their curriculum.

Government Approved Demonstration Room

• Dimension of the demonstration hall – 30 X 20 with sitting arrangements for Students.
• Separate Male and Female Washroom/ Toilets available(10 X 10)
• Store rooms are available for storing Gardening  equipments.

National Service Scheme unit of our institution is working for the upliftment  of  the underprivileged with the motto “Not Me But You”.  The volunteers of NSS participate with great enthusiasm in various activities like Health camps,  Swachata Abhiyana, Health Survey, Health Education, Reforestation and many more. National festivals celebrated in a unique way to build the patriotism in the public. Various events like No Tobacco Day, International Yoga Day, AIDS Day, Womens Day, Environmental day, Breastfeeding Day etc also conducted to impart knowledge and awareness in the society.  Under the NSS unit of RGUHS, a special one week camp for volunteers also conducted yearly.
