Indian Academy College of Nursing
Indian Academy College of Nursing (IACN) approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC). It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. IACN offers BSc, MSc and Post BSc. The college offers clinical experience through clinical rotations at multi-specialty affiliated hospitals and in other major Government Hospitals and Primary Health Care Centres such as P. D. Hinduja Sindhi Hospital, Specialist Hospital, Kidwai Institute of Oncology, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, NIMHANS, Vani Vilas Hospital, Spandana Institute of Mental Health, BBMP Maternity Centre, Urban and Rural Community Health Centres, and more. The nursing curriculum includes various specialities such as:
- Medical Surgical Nursing
- OBG Nursing
- Child Health Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
- Community Health Nursing.
IACN offers courses such as BSc (intake 60), MSc (20 intake) and Post BSc (intake 40). General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year degree programme, conducted in affiliation to Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board, recognised by Indian Nursing Council, Karnataka Nursing Council, and approved by Government of Karnataka.
Indian Academy College of Nursing has traditional library resources, digital library services are available that enable students and staff to access resources from other public libraries, databases, e-learning portals like National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) etc.
