B.Sc. Biochemistry or Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry is an undergraduate Biochemistry course. Biochemistry is a study of chemical processes in living organisms. It includes the study of Bio-organic Chemistry, Biophysical Chemistry, Human Physiology, Microbiology and Virology, Basic Immunology, Enzymology, etc. B.Sc. (Biochemistry) degree course also includes the study of structure and function of cellular components such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids and other bio-molecules involved in biological processes such as growth, metabolism, reproduction, heredity, etc. as well as the effect of the environment on living organisms.
