BTech in Nanotechnology

About The Course

B.Tech. Nanotechnology or Bachelor of Technology in Nanotechnology is an undergraduate Nanotechnology course. Nanotechnology is the study of manipulating matter on an atomic and molecular scale. Nanotechnology is very diverse, ranging from extensions of conventional device physics to completely new approaches based upon molecular self-assembly, from developing new materials with dimensions on the nano-scale to investigating whether we can directly control matter on the atomic scale. Nanotechnology entails the application of fields of science as diverse as surface science, organic chemistry, molecular biology, semiconductor physics, micro fabrication, etc. B.Tech. (Nanotechnology) is a four years course and it may be more or less as per rules of institutes to institutes. The course is immensely valuable and getting more importance as every technology is converting into nano-size.

More Details About BTech in Nanotechnology

B.Tech. Nanotechnology Eligibility
  • The minimum qualification for pursuing the B.Tech. (Nanotechnology) is 12th class or its equivalent exam passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in science stream.
  • JEE Test (all India Level) or institute’s own tests are also being given credit.
B.Tech. Nanotechnology Course Suitability
  • Candidates who have scientific bent of mind and adequate interests for research work; sound analytical brain and computer programming skills are the most suitable for it.
  • Who have good skills in mathematics and computer programming would be an asset. Any knowledge that can be gained through formal, informal and self-education would add your potential and value.
  • The candidates must be hard working as research in this field needs spending long hours in the laboratory.
