RV College of Physiotherapy
RV College of Physiotherapy took birth on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami in the year 1940, in a small, obscure premise in Visveswapuram, Bangalore. It was the product of a vision driven by its founder, Sri M.C. Sivananda Sarma.
Over seven decades later, RSST today is a conglomerate of 27 educational institutions. The institutions range from primary schools to professional colleges including the streams of Engineering, Management, Dental Sciences, Physiotherapy, Teachers’ Training, Nursing and many more. Every year, it meets the needs of over 18,000 students, with nearly 2000 faculty members, and has come to be at the forefront of the educational sphere in Bangalore.
Ably guided by a group of distinguished trustees from various walks of life, and led by the commitment of its eminent president Dr. M.K. Panduranga Setty, RSST’s future holds great prospects in the academic arena of the emerging new India.
RSST is driven by a goal to fulfill the academic aspirations of individuals from all stratas of society. With a commitment to continuously expand the atmosphere of involved learning which instills in students a spirit of enquiry, RSST aims to mete out healthy challenges and encourage lasting accomplishments.
Founded by the initiative of the Trust’s illustrious former Secretary and chief Mentor Late Sri D.A. Pandu in the year 2003, RV College of Physiotherapy is a proud member of this eminent RV family.
Located at very close proximity to Jayanagar 4th Block Bus Terminus and Jayanagar metro rail station, it is well connected by both road and metro rail. This helps not only students but also the patients to commute easily for Physiotherapy services.
Housed in an integrated and large academic Structure, the facilities at RVCP are best suited to meet every requirement. The infrastructure provides ample space, facilities and equipment for treatment of patients, Its physical infrastructure is multi – storied and vast.

The college has well equipped and a comprehensive library, which offers students with all the reference material, needed for an in-depth understanding of their specific subjects. The library also subscribes for national and international journals on the relevant subjects. Apart from this, library has a subscription for various magazines, newspapers and periodicals to encourage reference reading among students. The college also provides e-journals and e-book under HELINET consortium from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
There are separate hostels for boys and girls that are comfortable and reasonably priced. Homely environment with a provision of medical check and treatment is provided in case of emergencies.
Physiotherapy education involves outbound training sessions. Buses are deployed for transporting students from the college to hospitals for clinical postings and training.
