P. A. College of Engineering (P.A.C.E.)

P. A. College of Engineering is an engineering college located in Karnataka, India. It is situated at Konaje, 25 km from Mangalore. Likewise, P.A. College of Engineering was founded in 1999 by the Kerala-based businessman Dr. P.A. Ibrahim. Approximately 1,450 engineering students graduate each year.

The college was established with a sanctioned intake of 240 students per academic year; 60 students in each of four disciplines such as Electronics and Communication, Telecommunications, Computer Science, and Information Science. Since then, three additional disciplines have been added – Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Civil Engineering.

Above all, the Electronics and Communication, Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Computer Science departments each have dedicated research centers.

The trust continued its venture of establishing and running successful educational institutions. Moreover, a Pre-University College was opened in the academic year 2005-06 with Science & Commerce streams having a combined student strength of 350.

The main building on the 60-acre campus was designed by Walker Sadekar architects of Mumbai.

The latest venture of the Trust is P.A. Polytechnic, which was established in 2006. P.A. Polytechnic offers Diploma education in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering.

Central Library

At present, the library has 30,264 volumes of books covering all branches of engineering and reference books such as encyclopedias, handbooks, dictionaries, GATE, GRE books & literature books. likewise, the library has almost 11000 square feet of area, the library is a treasure house of knowledge with lots of books. In addition to the library 782 project reports, 1033 bound volumes of journals, and also ITDP Book bank collection of 1019 books. Above all, the students can make use of the books all the time. Similarly, Computer Systems are also present with an internet connection.

Hostels

Boys and girls have different hostels within the same campus. Adequate toilets with spacious rooms are provided. Above all, mess serves good quality food for the students. Similarly, wardens are there to monitor the students. Round-the-clock security and surveillance cameras to ensure safety. Further, a mini-library and reading rooms are available. Prayer Hall, General store, stocks all basic items for students. In addition, uninterrupted water and power supply. The medical facility provided to sick students.

Bank & ATM

The college has a Vijaya bank with an extension counter inside the campus. Similarly, ATM services are also available inside the campus for easy financial transactions.

There are both indoor and outdoor sports facilities for the well-being and healthy life of students

Well designed and ventilated, classrooms with audio-visual teaching aids to make learning meaningful. As well as Laboratories and workshops provide well-equipped modern and sophisticated equipment.

Wi-Fi Seminar halls &  Auditorium

Seminar halls and multipurpose halls help to conduct Events like Guest lectures, conferences, and projects presentation. Moreover, A 2000 capacity Auditorium with an audiovisual facility for organizing National/International conferences, workshops, and seminars.

Wi-Fi Enabled Campus

Wi-Fi enabled campus with an internet speed of 55mbps. This facility allows students to access uninterrupted Internet connectivity anywhere within the campus.

Cafeteria & Store

The spacious cafeteria serves a variety of hygienically prepared food. Besides a separate dining area is available for girls, boys, and staff members. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available. Meanwhile, the departmental store arranged all the necessary items for students and staff.

Other Facilities

Also, P.A College of engineering provides facilities within the campus for instance postal and courier service, photocopy and binding, and laundry services. Furthermore, diesel generators and transformers ensure an uninterrupted power supply for the entire campus. As an eco-friendly attempt to conserve water, An Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) helps to provide recycled water for gardens on the campus.

The department has affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The Department offers a four years Bachelor’s degree program.

Accordingly, the department faculty members have established themselves in nationally and internationally recognized research programs, including those of interdisciplinary nature. Similarly, to strengthen these research activities, the department has established a good setup of Research and Development Laboratories.

Biotechnology

Department of Biotechnology at P. A. College of Engineering established in the year 2002, conducts four years B. E. in Biotechnology program under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.

Besides, Biotechnology is the fastest-growing knowledge-based sector in India and the rest of the world. Biotechnology is the use of biological processes or product to manufacture products intended to improve the quality of life and environment.
