MS Ramaiah Dental College and Hospital Bangalore was established in 1991. The programmes and curriculum offered by the faculty adhere to norms prescribed by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The curriculum offered is outcome based and helps students to develop critical thinking abilities and to imbibe relevant practical skills for a smooth transition from academics to real life work environment. Opportunities are provided for students to do their internship in India or abroad depending upon their preference. Alumni of the Faculty are working for quality healthcare organizations in India and abroad and while many have established successful practices of their own

 

Course

 


The Faculty offers a 4‑year undergraduate programme including one year internship leading to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree and a 3‑year postgraduate programme leading to the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree

The Faculty also offers Certificate programmes in Esthetic Dentistry and Oral Implantology and a Doctoral research programme leading to the award of a Ph.D. degree.

Our curriculum — in addition to adhering to the norms of the Dental Council of India — is designed to exhaustively cover oral and dental health. Special care taken to ensure that students receive rigorous practical training under the guidance of experienced faculty members Research also promoted and students thus encouraged to develop a scientific curiosity about their field of study.

This multipronged approach to dental education ensures that, in addition to knowledge, our students are equipped with the skills necessary to navigate the uncertainty of the future. And moulded into independent thinkers, determined scholars, and competent healthcare professionals who prioritize the well-being of patients above all else.
