Masood College of Nursing and Physiotherapy , Masood educational & charitable trust founded in 2003-2004 . Mean while they also conduct General Nursing and Midwifery, Basic B.Sc. Nursing, P.B.B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing courses. The College and School of Nursing got sanctioned by Govt. of Karnataka in the year 2003 with a total intake of 60 students in each course. and also recognized by the  Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka Nursing Council.

The Institute is situated in Mangalore, the fast developing port city of Karnataka. The nursing programmes were started with a vision of providing nurses, who will be clinically proficient in delivering services to the individual, group, society, nation and the world at large.

This Institution, attempts to mould well-motivated young minds, to take on the daunting responsibility with grace and confidence, equipping them not just with knowledge that will help them assist doctors during critical or surgical operations but also with the sensitivity and gentleness required to administer efficient bed side care.

Class rooms

The Institution has very good physical infrastructure as per the Indian Nursing Council norms such as spacious and well furnished classrooms equipped with OHP, VCD, Television, slide projector and LCD projector.

As per the INC norms the Institution is equipped with 7 laboratories.

Anatomy and Physiology Lab

In Anatomy and Physiology Lab Students learn the structure & functioning of the body. Opportunity is been provided to handle the specimen, thus , gives them the first hand information.

Nutrition Lab

In Nutrition Lab students acquire knowledge of Nutrition for maintenance of optimum health at different stages of life and its application for practice of nursing. Here students plan the menu, calculate the daily calorie requirement as per the different categories of people, prepare the diet planned and present the menu prepared.

Community Health Nursing Lab

Here the students  use the bag technique for community service. Hence, molded and trained to provide Primary Health Care in the community.

Maternal and Child Health Lab

MCH Lab provides opportunity to the student to develop knowledge and skill in both maternal and child care. Here the students are trained to care for mother & child various models, charts specimens, manikins are made available to practice the skill.

Audio Visual Aids Room

Audio Visual Aids initiate, stimulate & reinforce learning. Provides opportunity to the students to handle and manipulate. Audio Visual room also consists of  Over Head Projector, Slide Projector, T.V, D.V.D etc.

Computer Lab

An elaborated computer lab with the latest version . Hence ,Students can make use of internet facilities.

Library

Knowledge is like a flowing river. Books are an asset in the life of students and teacher. Reference and study materials made available  in the form of a well stocked library with books, journals, periodicals and magazines of Indian and foreign editions.

Accordingly e-journals and e-books also provided .

Clinical facilities

Students expose to both rural and urban areas as prescribed by INC syllabus. Mean while, posting starts at Govt. Wenlock Hospital, Govt. Lady Goshen Hospital and private hospitals such as Indiana Hospital and Krishna Nursing Home .

Medical facilities

During admission every student undergo a medical examination. Vaccination against Hepatitis B and any communicable diseases, if necessary, will be provided.

Transport

The Institute owns a fleet of well maintained buses for the transportation of students to hostels, hospital, college and community postings.

Hostel

The college/School provides hostel facilities for all the students. Separate hostels are provided for both boys and girls. Above all  staying in hostel is compulsory for all students. All the hostels have spacious rooms. Each student is provided a cot, table, chair and locker.  Inmates are also provided with breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner.

The management provides recreational facilities like T.V, Newspaper, Magazine, Indoor and Outdoor games. Telephone facilities also available to the students. Medical facilities  provided, whenever the student is ill. Moreover, management is concerned about  hygienic aspects in relation to the cleanliness of hostel and preparation of the food. A Homely atmosphere is also provided to the students.

Extra curricular activities

All round development of student with special emphasis on human, moral, psychological, cultural, intellectual and spiritual aspects,  for the formation of a professional nurse. Students have ample opportunities to participate in both cultural and sports activities thus results in developing skills and talents . Talented students also participate in collegiate, university, local, state and national level competitions. Various activities such as sports day and cultural fests also conducted .
