Mangala College Of Allied Health Sciences , Mangala College of Para Medical Sciences under the management of Mangala Charitable Trust(R), Mangalore is situated at Vidyanagar, Pedamale, Neerumarga, Mangalore – 575029, a place well connected by bus routes to all destinations.

Mangala Nursing Home (now knows as Mangala Hospital & Kidney Foundation) which is the parent hospital established in the year 1988 has now, developed into a 250 bedded Multi-specialty Hospital, which caters patients from cross section of the socio-economic stratum by providing latest high-tech healthcare by competent Professionals.

 

Aim

 


 

Mangala College of Para Medical Sciences established in the year 2004. The course outline and the syllabus designed by the Para Medical Board, Government of Karnataka. The fundamental idea behind is to develop and mould the students as successful individuals to get a job not only in India but also abroad. The course  also provides a comprehensive idea, principle, and practices of various para medical procedures.

The management of Mangala Charitable Trust believes that para medical course a formal education preparation, which provide a broad and sound foundation for the practice of para medical service that to be practised and propagated irrespective of the sex, religion, cast, and creed.Designed to provide a balance of professional and general education, and also enable students to  become professional para medical technicians. Special training in para medical sciences including Dialysis Technology and Ophthalmic Technology Course also introduced first in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts.

 

Objectives

 


The Para Medical Courses together with the Nursing Courses offered by Mangala Charitable Trust contribute not only towards divers health needs of the local people, but also caters to qualify patient care as well as towards preparing quality health care personnel for the entire country and abroad. Provide a balance of professional and general education and to enable students become para medical technicians and professional nurses.

Clinical Experiences

 

The students are provided clinical experience in Mangala Hospital & Mangala Kidney Foundation and other hospitals – Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, Raj Pathology Laboratory and Mallikatta Neuro Center. All these institutions also provide training for multi disciplinary clinical experience in the course concerned.

The students will have wide clinical exposure from Government Wenlock Hospital & Lady Goschen Hospital which is the largest general hospital in Dakshina Kannada District having both surgical and medical department.

All Para medical practical training in the variety and a number of cases attended in all these hospitals and laboratories have become a great boon to the students training.

 

Laboratory

 

Fully equipped to conduct several biochemical, heamatological, and microbiological investigations. Anatomy and physiological laboratories well equipped with the Para Medical Art Lab fledged with dummies, models, charts, and equipment needed for students learning.

 

Library

 

The college has good library with both relevant reference and issue books .  Latest health related magazines, newsletters, CDs and other I T materials also available for reference. Qualified professionals manage library.

The entire atmosphere of the library is just right for the students to study and prepare themselves .

 

Transportation

 

Transportation facilities are provided at extra cost for students to enable to reach the hospitals

 

Hostels

 

Separate hostel for both boys & girls available . Also, mess, hot water, telephone, television, and other modern facilities are available for inmates.

The students will be under the direct supervision of the competent wardens.

Food Court

 

Canteen facility ( both Veg & Non Veg) is available in the Campus for both students and staff.
