Colaco College of Management Studies emerged from the need for a premier B- School of a different genre in Mangalore. This is a College on the move in its relentless leap towards academic enrichment and overall development. The Course we choose to offer is the ones to create consummate professionals with broad-based knowledge required to withstand the change and excel in today’s fast-paced professional and business environment.

Colaco College of Management also induces in its student, the social skills and other values required for them to pursue a successful career and to become good citizens.  The faculty at Colaco College of Management is committed to creating managers with a difference. The Teaching Methodology includes the lecture method along with case studies, group discussions, syndicate sessions, role play, student presentations, management games, seminars, and as to satisfy this Colaco faculty OF MANAGEMENT has started a three-year comprehensive BACHELORS DEGREE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (B.B.M.).






The faculty comprises some of the best academicians the city can offer. Other than
permanent members a host of visiting members from top business houses and
professionals of the city share their thoughts and experiences with the students.
The faculty at Colaco is committed to creating graduates with a difference. Moving
beyond academics, they strive to help the students to excel and also train them to face
the challenges in life.


Teaching Methodology


The teaching methodology includes the lecture method along with case studies, group discussions, syndicate sessions,
role play, student presentations, management games, seminars, workshops and the use of audiovisual aids, LCD, OHP
etc. and field trips.




The library is a treasure trove of books. Valuable books on various subjects relating to
nursing, Medical Laboratory, Operation theatre techniques, X-ray techniques
international business, management, human resources and books on the latest trends and
research works are stocked. Latest periodicals and journals are also made available for




The college provides adequate facilities for sports and games to encourage the all-around development of the students.


Extra-Curricular Activities


The faculty strives for the multifaceted development of the students. They encourage them to take part in dramatics,
quiz competitions, debating, music, dance and singing competitions at collegiate and inter-collegiate levels.


Spoken English and English Fluency Classes are given on a continuous basis to upgrade speaking skills.


Leadership Development programmes


are conducted to develop our students as competent leaders in their field of work.




Separate hostel facility for boys and girls is provided for outstation students, within walking
distance of the college. The hostels are owned by the trust with a built up area of 30,000
sq.ft. spread over 22,000 sq.ft of land. They have comfortable rooms, adequate furniture and
other amenities. A hygienic mess facility is made available on a sharing basis.




The college is confident that the students trained at Colaco will stand head and shoulders above the rest in an
interview. It is the endeavour of the college to have a full-fledged placement cell headed by a placement professor.


Care of Freshers


The faculty step in as caring mentors to make the freshers feel comfortable and safe in the college and hostel. As
ragging is non-bailable criminal offence care is taken to see that it does not occur and all students are counselled
about the ill effects of ragging.








The College is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and is affiliated with Mangalore University.
