Infrastructure

Spacious classrooms and Wi Fi classrooms  are designed to facilitate discussions, audio visual presentations and practical demonstrations. Wi-Fi classrooms enable students to source information from the internet for more effective learning. .

Edu-sat facility enables the students to learn from online classes conducted by their professors and other eminent personalities. Our highly qualified and experienced faculty members are also available after class hours for the students who seek extra guidance. Various speakers from the industry as well as academics are invited to interact with students and share their experiences.The college also organizes soft skill training programmes to help the students develop their communication, personal, interpersonal, managerial and organizational abilities. Industrial visits to both local and outstation industries are organized during the course. In fact, Shree Devi Institute of Technology has tie-ups with industries, manufacturing plants and multinationals in the Information Technology sector so that the students get hands-on experience during their visits.

Seminar Halls

The modern and fully- equipped Seminar Halls help the faculty in conducting smart-classes with the help of modern audio-visual equipment, LCD projectors, slide projectors, TVs & VCRs. Students are encouraged to make presentations to develop their skills of communication and assist their understanding of the subjects.

The Seminar Halls are equipped with modern audio-visual equipment, LCD and slide projectors .Each student is given customized attention. Brainstorming is encouraged and practiced in small alcoves projecting out of these rooms.

Library

Fully computerized library which provide an easy access to the gamut of books .Library consists of  2684 titles, 16918 books, 76 National and 76 International Journals in engineering. And  550 titles, 2832 books, 24 National and 12 International Journals in MBA , 386 titles, 2323 books, 24 National and 12 International Journals in MCA are also available. Books on Engineering, Management and Computer Application available along with the ones prescribed by the university. It also hosts books on allied subjects and general studies  To promote the reading habits in students periodicals and journals are made available in the reading room itself.

Library  Facilities

The library also provides Audio Visual facilities, a photo copying center, book bank facilities to enable information access in the simplest of ways..
The library also maintains encyclopedias, dictionaries, hand books, data books, catalogues, ISI specifications and books from other streams of knowledge.

Circulation Section:

A well organized circular section ensures smooth circulation of the books.  Students and faculty members can also reserve books in advance. The students should  maintain decorum in the library when  books  issued and be physically present during the return and renewals of the books .

Hostel

Separate hostel facility for boys and girls.  Provide  comfortable rooms with attached bathrooms, adequate furniture, appropriate lighting and ventilation, round the clock hot water, hygienic food and an information centre also available .
A hygienic mess caters to the nutritional requirements of the students.

Transport

The college has its own fleet of 18 buses to ensure comfortable transportation for students. These buses run on all working days on various routes through the city. They run efficiently and punctually in accordance to stipulated time schedules.

Sports Club

The college provides adequate facilities for sporting activities . Hence  they have represented the college in various state and national level competitions and have brought home laurels. The college also hosts a state- level, intercollegiate tournament which is very popular with the student fraternity.

Extracurricular Activities

‘Sambhram’, a national level fest  organised by the enginerring students. ‘Echelon’ – A national level management fest  by the MBA Association ‘Zing’. Mean while  the association takes the initiative to co-ordinate the events and plans the activities every year. ‘Medha’ – a national level technical fest , The association organizes a number of technical events. Spandana, – The department of Welfare & Counseling in co-ordination with Students Welfare Association guides and counsels the students with the assistance of a counselor. These forums also guide the students in maintaining the discipline of the institution and also  keep a track of the students’ performance.

Shree Devi Institute of Technology Mangalore has successfully placed all eligible interested candidates of Engineering, MBA and MCA for the current academic year through the ongoing campus placements.

Industrial Training Facilities

College also provides early industrial exposure for our students by organizing industrial visits. Students of second, third and final year  have as much exposure as is possible to various industries and then  assisted to undergo vocational training to gain competence by relating theory to practical.
